Naxian Dreams — From Imagination to the Aegean
Naxian Dreams was designed before our journey to Naxos, with one idea in mind: to create a fabric inspired by the Greek islands that we could turn into matching pieces and actually wear beneath the Cycladic sun.
Before seeing Naxos with my own eyes, I imagined its palette and atmosphere: the deep blues of the Aegean Sea, sun-washed white walls, sandy stone, curved Cycladic architecture and the simple, organic shapes of Mediterranean nature.
Those impressions became an abstract composition of arches, curves, leaves and geometric forms, painted in layers of Aegean blue, soft washed blue and warm sand. Among the shapes, the Melia flower is quietly woven into the pattern, becoming part of the design rather than an obvious logo.
A subtle watercolour texture softens the geometry and gives the print the imperfect, hand-painted character that is so important to Melia Mania.
Designed to be timeless and gender-neutral, Naxian Dreams was created to move effortlessly from a woman's dress to men's shorts, children's pieces and accessories—allowing a family to match without ever looking identical.
Dreamed in Belgium. Inspired by Greece. Worn in Naxos 💙
